Back in 1979, Patty Dee created a music label called Aircut Records. This was in the day of vinyl records and CDs were not yet on the scene. She released two independent records of her own works. The first was a single called "We've All Had Enough" and "Now or Never." Later she released an EP called "Fade the Night Away" with five songs.
Now, over 20 years later, she has revived the Aircut Records label as Aircut Music. Aircut Music is now an official music studio at 662 Upham Street in San Luis Obispo, California.
For the past 7 years Patty has been teaching Steel Drum classes for adults and children through the Cuesta College Community Programs in San Luis Obispo, California. The classes have all finished with a performance at San Luis Obispo's Farmer's Market under the name "The Cuesta Steel Drum Ensemble." She also has formed a performing group called "The Sizzling Pandoliers" which have performed many times at San Luis Obispo's Farmer's Market, The Garden Festival, Stone Soup, Live Oak Music Festival, Symphony Pops Concert, and other community events.
Patty Dee has a Master's Degree in Education with an emphasis
on Curriculum and Instruction and a CA Multiple Subjects and
Music Credential. She has taught elementary school classroom
music and band in the CA public schools for the past 16 years. She is a violist in
the San Luis Chamber Orchestra and volunteers with the San Luis
Obispo Symphony Education Committee.
